Identifying aquatic insects from the river and its creeks can help us figure out what the water quality is within different sections of the Huron River watershed.
You can help! At ID Day, you and other volunteers will separate bugs into groups that look alike and then an expert will help you identify them. Once bugs are identified, you’ll record the data and compare the results to past ID Day events. This identification process takes about two hours. (Each child must be accompanied by an adult.) No science experienced required.
WHEN: Stay tuned by signing up as a volunteer so we can send you invitations. The next possible date will be in Fall 2021
WHERE: HRWC offices in the NEW Center, 1100 N. Main Street, Ann Arbor
