Suds on the River is HRWC’s annual fundraising event where we raise a glass to celebrate our home river, the Huron.

Suds FAQ’s

What is the attire?

Suds is an outdoor event that will take place as long as the weather safety allows. Casual shoes are recommended. Shoes with narrow heels are discouraged as this event will be on grass. Please check the local weather on the day for current conditions.

How will I get directions, parking information and other important event details?

This information will be mailed to you after your ticket purchase is processed. You will also receive an email the week of Suds with this information. Please be sure to include your email when purchasing your ticket.

Is Suds accessible for people with mobility issues?

Suds is an outdoor event. There are paved paths leading from the parking lot to the event tent. Assistance with transportation to the event tent is available by golf cart. The main event takes place on a grass field. While mostly level, there may be some uneven terrain. ADA accessible bathrooms are located near the event site.

We strive to host inclusive events that are accessible to everyone. To request an accommodation or in you have questions about accessibility, please contact Wendy Palms at [email protected].

Are dogs allowed at Suds?

We love our furry friends but Suds is a human only event. Service animals are permitted to accompany their handler into any event space.

What dietary restrictions will be accommodated?

We strive to accommodate as many dietary restrictions and considerations as possible. There will be gluten free, vegetarian and vegan food options. Please discuss specific information with the representatives at their food stations.

Beer, mead, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages will be available.

Will Suds be cancelled for weather?

Suds will be held in most weather conditions, including light rain or chilly temperatures. The event space is covered. In the event of extreme or unsafe weather, the team may make the decision to cancel Suds. There will not be a rain date for the event.

How will I be notified in the rare event Suds is cancelled?

While we do not anticipate cancelling Suds, emergencies can happen. In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified via email. Please be sure to include your email when purchasing your ticket. We will also post the cancellation to our website so if you are unsure, please check before you head out.
