In 1965 we were losing the Huron River to pollution.
A handful of conservationists met to create a community of citizens and scientists to restore the beautiful Huron River. The Huron River Watershed Council became that community of caregivers and now, just over half a century later, the Huron River is the cleanest river in southeast Michigan.
Thanks to our supporters, HRWC has a strong track record of success. Together with over 1200 supporters, citizen scientists, members, and volunteers, we make a difference everyday. The Huron River Watershed Council protects and restores the river for healthy and vibrant communities. Stand strong for clean water and join our community by making a donation today.
The Huron River Watershed Council is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
