Suds on the River
Raise your glass to the Huron River!
Next year’s Suds will be on Thursday September 16, 2010. Tickets will go on sale in August 2010, and are $100 for non-members and $75 for members. Cheaper tickets to Suds is another great reason to become a member and support our river protection work.
Each year HRWC and KeyBank present our popular fundraiser – Suds on the River - featuring the microbreweries of the Huron River Watershed; ARBOR BREWING, BLUE TRACTOR, GRIZZLY PEAK, JOLLY PUMPKIN ARTISAN ALES, and WOLVERINE BEER.
We believe these award winning brews are so good because the brews are made with water from the Huron River, the cleanest river in Southeast Michigan, its water clear enough to see the pebbles of the riverbed.
Suds 2009 was hosted by Bill and Mary Kinley, who welcomed over 200 guests to their home on the river in Dexter, where we roasted marshmellows around the bonfire, sampled the brews, delighted in the food offerings, and the folks from COLTON BAY and ANN ARBOR TROUT UNLIMITED gave us fly fishing lessons.
Joining the microbreweries were the watershed’s most popular restaurants including Afternoon Delight, Anthony’s Gourmet Pizza, Cafe Habana, Common Grill, Jerusalem Garden, Morgan & York, No Thai!, Pacific Rim, People’s Food Co-op, Terry B’s, Tios, Tuptim Thai Cuisine, Vinology and Whole Foods Market. Please support these local establishments as they support our local river protection work.
