Ann Arbor Summer Festival
Join a Long Table discussion on waste reduction. The Long Table format was born from director and scholar Lois Weaver’s exercise around participation and public engagement. The aim is to foster meaningful discussions between civic-minded Ann Arborites connected by ideas and questions surrounding the city’s creative culture. It’s a dinner table atmosphere encouraging participants to ask questions, make statements, leave comments, or openly sit, listen, and watch. Join Adam C. Simon, University of Michigan Associate Professor from the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Ann Arbor Summer Festival Executive Director Michael Michelon, Director at Toyota Motor North America Kevin Webber, Huron River Watershed Council Executive Director Laura Rubin, Ecology Center Executive Director Michael Garfield, Director, Michigan Sustainability Cases, open access on Gala, Rebecca Hardin, and sculptor Juan Martinez and you, the Ann Arbor community, for a convening on recycling, microplastics, zero waste events, and the arts.
