CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: NEW MARCH 21 DATE, NOW VIA WEBINAR
HRWC will move its 2020 Chemistry and Flow Monitoring orientation to an online, webinar format.
The health of our staff and volunteers is a priority. Due to the outbreak, this training will take place online instead in person to reduce the chance of spreading the coronavirus. If you still want to participate in this spring/summer program, you can still sign up below.
The orientation webinar will be live-streamed Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, but will be available to watch via HRWC’s YouTube channel following the live broadcast. For any registrants unable to watch live on the 21st, the recorded webinar will be available for streaming anytime at your convenience prior to field training. The webinar will cover all information we planned to cover during the in-person sessions to prepare you for participation in the program. You will need a computer or smart phone to view. Registration required.
Enjoy being outdoors while measuring the quality of local rivers and streams during spring and summer! Learn how to collect water samples, measure stream flow, and record water chemistry measurements. No prior experience needed. Registration required. For more information, please visit www.hrwc.org/chemflow.
*If you participated in the program in 2018 or 2019, you are not required to attend the orientation, but are more than welcome to come if you’d like a refresher or to meet the new volunteers. If you are a returning volunteer who would not like to attend the orientation, please click here to register.
