Martindale Road in Milford Township (approximately 1 mile west of the Milford Rd./GM intersection)
This event is hosted by the Friends of the Huron- Oakland
The river clean-up is conducted by canoe as participants paddle down the river. This is our 32nd Year!
This year’s cleanup will be Saturday, August 18th, 2019.
The event is held at the Kensington Group Camp Site.
• The Site is located off Martindale Rd. in Milford Township.
• Martindale Rd. is approx. 1 mile west of the Milford Rd / GM Rd. Intersection.
Pre-registration is not required, but advisable as “free” canoes do go quickly!
Day of Event Check-In begins at 7:30am and runs to approx. 8:30am. Participants are normally off the river by 12:30pm. There are no timeslots, just show up and we’ll get folks registered and on the river as they come in.
Lunch is provided – Hot Dogs, Chips, Fruit, Cookies, Pop & Water
Participants will be shuttled to the Canoe Livery of their choice and return to the Group Camp via the river.
Participants are welcomed to bring any tools they feel would help them clean. We have a limited number of tools that can be loaned out, but items such as long handled hooks, rakes, or other such items can be helpful to pull items from the river.
