Last week was another fantastic outing! Maggie Long (Executive Chef) and David Horscham (Manager) from Jolly Pumpkin hosted the release of the Hummocky Lick Sumac Sensation, a wonderful brew indeed. You can continue to get Hummocky Lick at Jolly, and it will continue to be a fundraiser for HRWC!
This Thursday, August 25 starting at 4:00, join us at Grizzly Peak Brewing Company. Grizzly is located at 120 West Washington in downtown Ann Arbor. We will be in The Den – just ask on your way in. Grizzly’s unique brewery offers sidewalk-passersby the opportunity to see brewing in action in their front window. This casual yet snappy brewery offers the best of both worlds. It has a laid back atmosphere, wonderful to pull up a bar stool and watch a game at either of their two pub rooms. It’s also a fantastic restaurant, ideal for supper out or for out-of town guests. They will happily note that Grizzly has sold more beer than any other brewpub in Michigan.
Duncan Williams, Head Brewer since 2004, has made us a special batch of “Watershed Ale”, which has local Bee Balm and Yarrow as component ingredients. Both of these native plants are often used by wild-collectors for medicine. A portion of the proceeds from the Watershed Ale will benefit HRWC.
