Temperature Measurements
It’s the Summer Temperature Extravaganza!
WHAT: Adopt a stream this summer! After a one hour training event, you will be assigned to a site on the creek where you will take maximum and minimum water temperatures on a weekly basis throughout July and August. Depending on the number of interested volunteers, you may have to split the summer measurements with a partner. Children are welcome to participate with their parents or other adult guardian.
Children are welcome to attend but each one must be attended by an adult.
WHERE: Training at the NEW Center, 1100 N. Main Street, Ann Arbor. You will be given a map to your streams site at the training.
WHEN: Training: 1 hour on June 20, 2010, time TBD. Then weekly measurement throughout July and August.
DEADLINE: We have limited equipment, so you MUST register ahead of time. Please contract Joan at jmartin@hrwc.org by June 13, 2010 to register.
NEXT STEP: First time volunteers, please fill out the basic information form. The registration form for each activity is on that activity page.
