Measuring and Mapping

Join a team that measures and maps  stream sites!  Learn to “read a river” by identifying the bed, the banks and other indicators of stream health.  But before getting into the water, a training on the field techniques is required. This is a hands on training/workshop that teaches you everything that needs to be known to participate in measuring and mapping. So no prior knowledge is necessary. We provide waders and other equipment that is needed so you will not get wet at the training. But you will walk IN the stream and possibly over uneven terrain when you map your site. Older Children (9+) are welcome to attend but each one must be attended by one adult.
