Measuring and Mapping

Adopt_Mapping1 Join a team that measures and maps  stream sites!  Learn how to “read a river” by identifying the bed, the banks and other indicators of stream health.  No prior knowledge is required. All participants are required to take our hands-on training/workshop, which will teach you how to measure and map our streams.

We provide waders and other equipment so you will not get wet at the training. But you will walk IN the stream and possibly over uneven terrain when you map your site. Older Children (9+) are welcome to attend but each one must be attended by one adult.

WHERE: Training: NEW Center, 1100 N. Main Street, Ann Arbor, MI, 48104.  Activity: A two streams in Livingston, Oakland, Wayne or Washtenaw Counties

WHEN: We are not holding this event in 2016.

Normally: 12:00 to 4:00pm for training, and then two field outings, each are 4 hours sometime from June through August.
