Millers Creek Film Festival

Michigan Theater, 603 East Liberty Street, Ann Arbor (map)
Free and Open to the Public!
The Huron River Watershed Council presents the fifth annual Millers Creek Film Festival.
Watch the “big screen” debut of the winning entries that show our connection to the Huron River and inspire its protection!
The best in each of three categories, Short Film-Adult Filmmakers, Short Film-School Age Filmmakers and 30-second Public Service Announcements, will be announced at the festival and each will take home the coveted “Millie Award” and a check for $500 in prize money.
Then join HRWC and the filmmakers for a homemade cookie reception in the lobby following the screening and awards presentation.
This year’s judges include Chris Cook, local award-winning filmmaker and president of Metrocom International; Jeff Meyers, film critic for the Detroit Metro Times and editor of local online magazines Concentrate and Metromode; and Rebecca Williams, reporter and producer for NPR’s The Environment Report.
Past winners have included Ann Arbor elementary school students, people making films for the very first time, and professional directors. You can see their videos at our YouTube channel www.youtube.com/millerscreekfilmfest.
