Last, but certainly not least, Tim Schmidt’s HAY CREEK will round out the set of awesome beers and brewers. Passports with five stamps will be submitted here, and the winners will be announced though they must be present to win.
The award-winning Wolverine, Jolly Pumpkin, Grizzly Peak, Arbor Brewing, and Blue Tractor breweries are teaming up with Huron River Watershed Council to sponsor a night dedicated to water, beer, and the people who love both. Each brewpub will feature their full menu of food and drinks along with a special beer made just for BREW FOR THE RIVER. These new brews are named after familiar streams and waterways of the Huron, celebrating our water source. Each brewery is donating a percentage of their evening’s proceeds to benefit HRWC, to support ongoing efforts to ensure safe, clean water for everyone.
Get your BREW PASSPORT at Wolverine on August 9 for $5. Attend all five events and get 5 stamps on your passport to be eligible for grand prizes. Drawing at the Blue Tractor on September 6.

Brewers and HRWC scientists will be at each of the events to answer questions and sample the fruits of their labor. New this year: River Trivia! Teams will compete at each event for prizes to answer questions about beer, water conservation, and the Huron. There will also be door prizes, where lucky winners can win “One Hour with the Brewer” and a growler of the special brew to take home, along with other prizes like T-shirts and more!
