On Friday HRWC was visited by some young fundraisers; Kit Bellovin, Mayko Flynn and Lior Cooper along with their camp director Marcy Epstein. The summer campers were pleased to have held a successful orangeade stand that  raised $35.05 for the river. Their letter to us read as follows;

Dear Watershed Council,

We’re glad to support you. It is special that you help keep the Huron River clean and clear.

Executive Director Laura Rubin met with the young river stewards and Pam Labadie taught the young river stewards about HRWC’s Saving Water Saves Energy program and they made themselves some H2O River Hero masks.  Always nice to meet with our neighbors and it is a great vote of confidence that these young people believe in our work.
